About Me

My name is John Melton and I serve at The Lift in Indian Trail, NC. Its a creative service of First Baptist Church of Indian Trail.  Indian trail is located just outside of Charlotte, NC.  Our first official service was on Easter of this year and we have been moving forward every since.  I’m currently the FOH Tech and lucky to be there.  I have experience, well at least I thought I had. I went from traditional Baptist type services using analog boards with limited add-on’s to wide open services with the latest gear available.  I now use a M7CL and later I will list all of our equipment.  I’ve starting blogging in hope that I can network with other techs to learn and make contacts from.  I love what I do, I’m not the best, I’m not the worst and I’m trying to be better everyday.  I have read and followed lots of blogs and it has been a great way to learn and to also hear every ones ups and downs.  The biggest part of this adventure so far is seeing so many people loving their crafts and most of all loving Jesus Christ.  It’s good to see so many people out there living the lyrics to Steve Fee’s Burn for You!  “There’s a passion in my heart, for the world to see. Revival fires burn, a great awakening.  And there’s a raging fire inside that’s so high and it’s causing me to burn.”
